The Pousada Vila Pouca da Beira is the former Convent Desagravo. It was built late in the eighteenth century, and is a perfectly preserved and restored slice of Portuguese history.

It has a wonderful cloister and formal gardens that are a peaceful joy during heat of the day. The Pousada has a superb location for those intereste4d in nature - as it is a short drive to both the mountains of the Serra da Estrela and the Serra do Açor. The Serra da Estrella Natural Park is very close to the Pousada.
